Red-gilled nudibranch in the cold, 36 F degree, waters of the Piscataqua River in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The first few months of the year is the feeding and egg laying season for these beautiful marine creatures.
This image of Motif No. 1 was taken while standing thigh deep in the cold November Rockport, Harbor water. Wispy clouds, still waters, and warm afternoon light enhanced Motif's presence and reflection that day.
