Geologists looking at roadcuts and photographers looking for scenic images are the worst drivers ever. I passed this by at 55mph and something caught my eye so I U-turned. If anyone asked me my advice on road-trip photography, it would be: "Turn around if you think you saw something - don't wait for 'the next one'." This was taken over the guardrail of Route 302 near Groton, VT (we are terrible pedestrians too).
The Bath Covered Bridge over the Ammonoosuc River off US 302 in Bath, New Hampshire. Built in 1832, according to the NH Dept of Transportation, it is the oldest covered bridge in NH still in use.
